Jenny is a scientist, designer, and artist in the St. Louis area. She earned her B.A. in Neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis with minor concentrations in studio art and music. During her academic program, she worked on several independent art projects exploring integrative spaces for biology, health, mental/emotional well-being, & human expression, studied neural correlates of competing emotion and cognitive factors in an EEG imaging lab, traveled to Shanghai conducting field research and shadowing eastern medicine physicians, and co-founded a music enrichment program at several local pediatric hospitals. More recently, she is curious in exploring important humanistic factors in medical treatment and methods in which design can improve healthcare delivery through a patient-centered model. She is currently conducting cerebral palsy research in the Department of Neurosurgery at St. Louis Children's Hospital and is working as a UX designer with an Alzheimer's Disease start up company, MementoDx. In her free time, she likes to illustrate things in nature, cook asian-fusion foods, play her oboe, and chase around her rodent-sized cat.
